| Session 48 | The party could not believe what they were hearing, and Halfbie suggested that it could be Ebis Daro impersonating her. The leader told them that his group would not stop until all the towns in the land were free to elect their own leaders. Among those leaders, the ruler of the territory would be chosen. He even said that Blackwall could remain under the party's control as long as the others were free. |
| Session 48 | Notably, while this was all happening, Viktor spent some time casting Legend Lore again, this time saying Ebis Daro. However, when the spell was finished, the only information that was given was that no one called Ebis Daro. |
| Session 35 | Kaelis Ignithar began to rant about how kids these days had no clue about the magic they so casually wielded and wouldn't recognize true talent even if it hit them in the face. He was adamant that he was the best mage in the history of mages and claimed he could even defeat Ignatius if he tried. To the party's relief, Kaelis clarified that he wasn't related to Ebis Daro and was offended by the suggestion that he might worship a god he considered weaker than himself. |
| Session 32 | Before they could say anything else, Haldir Heleyarus cleared his throat with a commanding cough before claiming that it seemed that the spell didn't work for everyone and that there was one more person who wasn't telling the full truth. As he said this, his eyes narrowed to the back of The Party. Following the headmaster's gaze, they found him staring at [[Named Characters & Beasts/Important Characters/Obeus Yelris Yelris]], who looked to be on the verge of tears. With a click of his fingers, she let out a scream, she lost all the strength in her legs and crumpled to the floor. As she did so, it looked like a spectral being was being yanked from her. The being crumpled on the floor was small and bony[^2] but wore the same golden mask as Ebis Daro. "Ah, an Aspect of Ebis Daro, I presume", reasoned the headmaster. Chenris' eyes narrowed in anger at the Empress, but before anyone could say anything, the aspect stood up and began readying a spell. |
| Session 32 | They all quickly rushed to Obeus' side as Halfbie and Mordecai began to heal her with magic. She soon woke up, her expression one of shame and embarrassment before anyone could get a word in edgeways, Chenris looked at her, his expression unreadable as he said, "It seemed the empress had and Ebis Daro in her pocket, care to explain why?". Obeus Yelris broke into tears as chenris was reprimanded by Mordecai and Korrigan for being so unkind. |
| Session 31 | While korrigan went to buy some better armour, Drache suggested using the book's other feature to learn something about someone important. They doubted that Ebis Daro was their real name, so they decided to write Akin Netch ‡. The book revealed that when Akin sacrificed himself, there was one other person with him, who that was the book didn't say. Soon, Korrigan returned with Dragonscale mail armour[^4], to which drache thought they looked really good. |
| Session 31 | Korrigan asked if he knew of any other way of keeping the gods at bay. Haldir Heleyarus revealed that the only thing that could work would be a steady stream of influential people being sacrificed at Ember Peak, just like Akin Netch ‡'s surface. It would be the only way to keep the Skyfall Ward active without having to use The Towers. Korrigan asked if Haldir Heleyarus knew someone cackled Ebis Daro. |
| Session 31 | The headmaster went silent for a moment before revealing that Ebis Daro used to be a lecturer at Strixhaven before being thrown out for being a shapeshifter and his fanatical worship of Ignatius (Sacrificing students). The headteacher explained that Ebis Daro was trying to make his own Ash Spawn army with all the sacrifices he was making. However, Haldir Heleyarus refused to elaborate beyond this. instead, The Party asked about the crystals and making more towers. |
| Session 31 | Coming to the end of their questions, Korrigan asked how many towers were needed to keep the gods at bay, especially with a lot of them falling. Haldir Heleyarus explained that only one is needed to stop them from entering the world, but with each one falling, people who gain power from the gods would grow stronger. Then the headmaster gave a warning that before long, all of them would fall, including The All-Father Temple tower, it was not safe as Ebis Daro already knew where it was. But before they could ask how he knew, Haldir laughed before revealing his true form: an incredibly old man hunched over. he had purple eyes and notably six purple identical[^8] that attached to his back, which kept hovering just above the ground. |
| Session 31 | The headmaster nodded and murmured that that was just going to have to do without other options before speaking up. He declared that he would answer their previous question, but he would need one person to help with this. He drew his gaze to the back of the party at Obeus Yelris and declared that one last person needed to join them. He clicked his finger, and with a scream from Ebis Daro was pulled out from her. |
| Session 29 | Mordecai comes clean and explains that they actually found Seifer Willow ‡, and she currently has processed his brain. Malin looks terrified and asks to know the full story and becomes increasingly terrified when they explain how they found The Crown of the Lost and then Firesoul Greatsword. Malin, now on the verge of panic, begged to know that the sword was safe and hidden away still. The Party deliver the troubling news that the sword was stolen by someone they suspect to be Ebis Daro. Malin broke out in a cold sweat and told them to follow him as he walked incredibly quickly for an old man. He took them out into the main library and into the back areas through a door labelled 'Authorised staff only'. Down a few corridors, they walked through a heavily guarded gate and down a steep flight of stairs. until they entered a large and dark room - illuminated only by a pristine white pillar. |
| Session 27 | Korrigan exclaims that if they die anyway, Uti may as well answer some of their burning questions. The dragon allows this to happen and asks what their first question is. He asks if they still must be killed if they decide to stay on the island. Uti says no. They had signed a contract that said no one could enter or leave the island, or they would die. Korrigan then asks why about Sword of Whispers and what they're doing on the island. Uti explains that their primary purpose is to defend the sword, which has a terrifying power. This leads Halfbie to make the connection between the sword and Firesoul Greatsword. They next talk about Terathra and the pillars, and Uti explains that their name is Niaross † and that they had to sell their dear friend with the pillars to make sure that the Gods were stopped. They also confirm that Terathra is slowly dying. Halfbie asks how they know Xekai. Uti reveals it's through The Auditors and that they have been working together for quite a while. Korrigan asks if Ebis Daro and Akin Netch ‡ are related. Uti has no idea who Ebis is but knows Akin from working together for a long time. Mordecai asks that if Xekai knew they were going to be killed, then why didn't he warn them of coming here? Uti reveals that Xekai has been incredibly busy of late and wasn't aware that they were on their way - Uti refuses to elaborate on what he has been doing. Korrigan asks if Uti has killed Master Enel Cubus; the dragon confirms that Cubus is dead. With this, Uti grows tired of asking questions and tells them to get ready for a fight. |
| Session 26 | Korrigan then asks about Ebis Daro and explains his theory about how Ebis might be High Priest Lyrion. Terathra explains that Ebis is a being that has been around for a long time and has worn many, many different faces. They don't know if Ebis and Lyrion are the same though. God does note that Ebis can be secretly bad even if he is very kind at the moment. Having answered all their questions, they say goodbye and Korrigan ends the spell and rushes to report everything he found out. He tells everyone, especially chenris about we had happened. Mordecai interjects and asks what is even happening, he feels very out of the loop and even left out of Chenris and Korrigan's little science group. Chenris is hesitant to let Mordecai join their group. |
| Session 26 | Chenris asks for information on Ebis. The orb says they will have to strike a deal for this information, as chenris wants information about someone's character then it's only right he gives information about someone else character. Their deal would mean chenris would forget all the information about Professor Varitan Leotoris †. The orb laughs and says he doing Chenris a great service, he would get a lot of information in exchange for forgetting something that has scared him so deeply. |
| Session 24 | She confirms, saying it's uncharacteristically quick for the elves since they need to still have a face for the nation, especially with how frequently new human rulers are selected. Korrigan tepidly asks if people like Ebis Daro or from the Mage's Guild can join in the running. She says that they would never have a chance since it is only the lords who can make a claim, and the mages guild is an international entity - leave all relieved. Before they head off, Chenris suggest leaving Drache and Aidan a note to explain what their plans are. Korrigan exclaims that he wants to try a new spell he learnt as he grabs a quill and paper and begins to write with the spell Illusionary Script to encrypt the note so that only the party would be able to read it, to everyone else is "I am Aidan, and I am Stupid" as a prank on the man. The three all let out a big laugh before leaving their lodgings. |
| Session 24 | Chenris surmises to the party that this might be a dwarf who died during the human revolt at the beginning of the 5th Era. Speak With Dead gave Chenris 5 questions, his 1st was, "Do you know anything about this book?" The dead dwarf had no idea, but it looked like it came from the Iron Forge Library. 2nd question: What is the Iron Forge explained that the entrance was down the side of the mountain. Finally, putting a name to the Ancient Dwarven Stronghold. His 3rd question: "What is this place?" the dwarf exclaimed this was their last haven. 4th question: "What can I find here?" the skeleton said, "The last of the Dwarves". 5th question: "Do you know Ebis Daro?" and it did not. With all the questions answered, the skeleton fell silent. |
| Session 22 | Annoyed that his authority was being challenged he replied, "No, I'm no longer with them anymore, I'm refusing with my own free will." This revelation shocked them into silence before Korrigan asked if he could at least tell them about Ebis Daro or Akin Netch ‡. However, his question is cut short by Xekai his face becomes twisted with rage at the mention of his previous faction's founder. When Korrigan tried to understand the source of the man's anger he simply opened a portal to a place Mordecai and Chenris recognised as the Uvam Dynasty. Simply stating "To save you the travel, now go" Chenris ventured to the portal, thanking him one last time for the help before crossing over. He was soon joined by the rest of The Party as they stood just outside Yakawa, Drache waiting for them in the distance. |
| Session 20 | Korrigan then asks about Ebis Daro and explains his theory about how Ebis might be High Priest Lyrion. |
| Session 20 | Chenris asks for information on Ebis. |
| Session 17 | Mordecai then asks he she knows Ebis Daro and she does, in fact, he is the one who taught her magic and Dwarfish. He also taught her about Fort Moldan - The last surviving dwarven stronghold in The Amber Realms. She exclaimed that he was a very wise Drawf (Ebis appeared as an Elf to The Party) |
| Session 16 | Chenris decides to go see Ebis Daro to ask questions about Enel Cubus † and his disappearance. Ebis isn't able to help with a lot of details but points him in the right direction to find out more. After this, Chenris leans in and asks about him transforming in to Claribelle Reverence †. Ebis denies knowing anything about this but after some pushing he gets up locks the door and transforms into the leader of The Red Cult, then quickly into Suicide bomber from the airship. He then switches back into to Ebis, unlocks the door and says "And no one will believe you". Chenris tries to calmly walk out and as soon as he is out of earshot of Ebis he runs like hell to his books to to figure out what he just saw. |
| Session 15 | Ignoring this, Mordecai starts to perform a self-written ballad about The War for the OFC's Freedom to wet their appetite. People seem to enjoy it and even chuck some coins at him. While this is happening, drache sits at the bar (which is unusual for this establishment), asks for a class of wine, and watches the crowd. After Mordecai finishes his first Ballad, he starts another about Aetherion; however, he purposely tries to get a lot of information wrong to see if anyone reacts. Most patrons are sitting there, enjoying the music -apart from one, an older man who starts disagreeing with many things Mordecai purposely gets wrong. Drache approaches him and they begin to chat about the true history of Aetherion. Drache learns a lot and thanks him for his time. The person says, "No, thank you. It's been wonderful to talk about such things. If you wish to talk some more, just ask for Ebis Daro at the Mage's Guild" and then walks off. |
| Session 15 | As the two of them leave, Chenris asks a door clerk about the Enel Cubus †. The person says they unfortunately wouldn't know about Ebis Daro in the Mage's Guild on the floor above them, but they might know more than them. Chenris thanks them for the information and laments that he doesn't have the time to ask further. |
| Session 15 | They replied in the affirmative and mentioned that playing with him was fun. Chenris says he'll be right back and returns to The Party and tells them what he saw up there before saying, "Terribly sorry, but there are few things i wish to investigate. Good day" and before Mordecai could even protest, Chenris uses Misty Step to return to the room. Panicking, Mordecai breaks his connection with Terathra and tries to find a way up quickly to the room above with the crystal. At this very moment, Ebis Daro walks into the room and summons a slowly moving elevator to take Mordecai up before flying ahead. |
| Session 15 | Ebis Daro flies up to find Chenris starting to take apart the Crystal with his magic. Ebis Daro and the Magic Demons join to help him destroy it. Midway through this process, Mordecai finally reaches them and attempts to stop Chenris, but is completely ignored. Mordecai then tries to physically restrain him, but is stopped by Ebis, who is sent to the floor with a spell. Chenris is now very close to destroying the crystal, and Mordecai is desperate to at least get his attention, let alone stop him, and attempts to stab his leg. He misses, but chenris turns to see what is happening. Through tiers, Mordecai tries to tell chenris to stop. He doesn't know what he's doing - anything to stop him from going any further. Chenris gets in his face and goes, "It is just Scientific Enquiry, my boy", and returns to his work. |
| Session 15 | Mordecai, about to try and stab him again, is confronted by Ebis Daro, who pulls him aside and transforms him into a woman with burn marks and says, "Hey, hey, it's ok, I forgive you for what you did" Mordecai, now confused and crying, starts to scream. Chenris ignores or maybe does not even realise he is there anymore. Chenris destroys the Crystal. |
| Session 15 | The moment the crystal was broken, Chenris absorbed the energy. Knowing he could not contain this ridiculous amount of energy, he looked to direct it somewhere. At this moment, time seemed to stop, and Ebis Daro stood before him and said he would help Chenris direct all this power. After some consideration, Chenris decided to direct it to Terathra. Time flowed freely again, and the tower broke apart and fell over. |
| Session 15 | Ebis Daro appears before Mordecai again and says, "Thank you, you've done an amazing job for Ignatius" before disappearing. Mordecai, now angry, storms to the window, jumps out, and climbs down, flipping off Chenris in the process. Chenris doesn't notice and jumps out he window and Misty Step safely to the ground. |
| Session 15 | Returning to the Adventurers Guild, The Party go to their rooms, including the one that Mordecai and Chenris share. Chenris sits on a bed and starts writing up his findings. Mordecai asks chenris if he even saw him suffering behind him in the tower, and chenris says not until he turned to face Mordecai. Mordecai, nearly screaming at this point, talks about Ebis Daro transformed into someone very special to them and guilted him and Chenris for not helping him when he needed it most. Chenris said he was so focused on learning that he was oblivious to everything else. |
