"AND LORWYN DANCED UPON THE WIND, VEILED IN Purple and crowned with madness, the jester-Queen of Shadows. Her laughter confounded kings and prophets Alike, for she spoke in riddles and cloaked the truth in Illusion, that the wise might stumble and the fool see Clearly."" Nehzahr

Overview

Lorwyn is a trickster cloaked in illusion and crowned in Laughter, dancing on the edge of dreams and madness. She wears royalty like a costume and truth like a riddle, Reshaping reality with a flick of her fingers. To know her Is to question what is real - not because she lies, but Because she shows how fragile certainty can be. She is Chaos wrapped in beauty, and beauty wrapped in a joke No one fully understands.

General Information

She rules over the Feywild s and the Fey creatures that inhabit that realm. For the longest time, she had no known Herald, until it was revealed that Kal The Korrigan † had become one. When Kal † died in Session 02 he made a deal with her.

In exchange for a return to life infused with fey magic, Kal's memories would be wiped clean upon re-entering the material plane, and he would emerge as Korrigan the herald of Lorwyn, However, there was a condition: after Kal had finished his unfinished business, he would then have to destroy the Divine Pillar in Lost Haven.

Korrigan seems to be aware of Lorwyn's intentions.

Divine Attributes

Mythos & Legends

Lorwyn, goddess of Trickery, Change, and the Fey, is a being of whimsy and contradiction-both revered and feared as the ever-shifting spirit of mischief. Born of wild places and half-spoken dreams, she dances at the edges of order, reshaping the world not through force,
but through cleverness, illusion, and a well-timed laugh. To worship Lorwyn is to embrace the unexpected, to find meaning in chaos, and to trust that even the crooked path may lead to beauty.

The Trickster's Dance is one of the oldest and most beloved tales told in her name. In it, Lorwyn lures gods and mortals alike into a game of riddles played over a blighted land. Through deceit, laughter, and misdirection, she transforms a cursed and barren region into a thriving forest-proving that her chaos is not destruction, but wild, creative rebirth. She is a disruptor, yes, but also a healer in disguise.

Mortals who encounter her often find themselves entangled in strange and binding pacts, receiving gifts of power, transformation, or fate itself-always given with terms that reveal their full meaning only when it's too late to turn back. One enduring legend tells of a queen
who asked for eternal prosperity for her people. Lorwyn granted it-but in doing so, reshaped the land so wildly that the people no longer recognized their home, nor the
ruler who made the deal. Such stories reveal her gifts as double-edged: generous, but never without price.

Lorwyn is also the undisputed guardian of the Feywild, a realm as fluid and unpredictable as she is. During the cataclysmic Sundering, when the boundaries of the planes threatened to shatter, it was her illusions, tricks, and shifting terrain that shielded countless fey from
annihilation. Her laughter became their shield, her riddles their s alvation.

To serve Lorwyn is to let go of certainty and embrace the dance of change. She is the rustle in the leaves, the sudden shift in wind, the smile you didn't expect. In her realm, truth wears a mask- and sometimes, the mask tells more than the face beneath.

Worship & Rituals

The Festival of Twilight

Worshipers of Lorwyn celebrate her influence through the Festival of Twilight, a night of masks, riddles, and dancing under the moon. Participants exchange cryptic stories, believing that she grants blessings to those who can deceive or amuse her through their tales.

The Riddle's Oath

To gain Lorwyn's favour, devotees partake in a sacred ritual called the Riddle's Oath, where they present her a riddle or mystery. It is said that Lorwyn answers only the most cunning of riddles, rewarding the asker with a boon.

The Grove's whisper

In sacred groves dedicated to Lorwyn, her followers meditate to seek guidance. These sessions often involve listening to the rustle of leaves or the calls of animals, which are interpreted as her subtle communication.

Artifacts & Relics

The Mask Of Infinite Faces

A magical mask that shifts appearances to reflect the wearer's intentions, aiding in deception and trickery.

The Feyflame Lantern

A lantern that never dims, illuminating paths through the Feywild but sometimes leading wanderers astray if their hearts are untrue.

The Oaken Staff

A relic that grants dominion over fey creatures and the ability to summon temporary glades for protection or rest.

History & Mentions

§ Interactions
Session 50 "I have no say over what they do," she replied bluntly. Was your friend the Korrigan controlled by Lorwyn? Do you think Chronovorus ordered the twist to stop hunting you? I am unable and unwilling to control millions of Harpies."
Session 46 She explained that she could break him out of the golden statue, but he would need to switch spaces with a certain someone. Korrigan had no idea who the man could be, but he needed to return to the fight as soon as possible and accept the price. However, soon after agreeing to the deal, it dawned on him: he knew who the person would be. Lorwyn's wild cackle drew out any of Korrigan's attempts to change her mind or plead to keep him alive as he was whisked away back to the material plane.
Session 46 The power practically begged to be used. Korrigan felt Lorwyn's gaze fall on him; her expectations of him were clear. However, Korrigan's face twisted into a grin. "You know what, Lorywn?" he proclaimed to the heavens, "You played a fun trick on me. Let me return the favour!" as he channelled the vast and wild power into Sera's sword. The sword began to glow with an otherworldly power.
Session 46 With that, Korrigan's body gave up and crumpled into dust. With that, a wild purple portal opened, and a mad woman with wiry golden hair floated out of it. Halfbie and Aidan instantly recognised her as Lorwyn. Before they even had the time to consider the implications that a god could enter the material plane, she summoned Kal's soul from what was left of Korrigan's body, causing a purple ball of light to float up to her.
Session 46 The others were too broken to do anything as they watched in horror as the true herald of Lorwyn whisked away an innocent child, never to be seen again.
Session 42 Mordecai continued, "Look, is there a chance? That, before you made all of those deals and all of that bollocks. Something was saying you all along. You couldn't touch the iron. They saved you. You were more entertaining as a creature of chaos in a world full of people who were just people. There couldn't have been a coincidence for Lorwyn to go. Hi, you're mine. There's got to be a reason."
Session 37 "Do you know Lorwyn?" he asked, nodding to Sylvia, "Well, I died in a fight with a Wyvern, and now Lorwyn has a new Herald. AND LOOK, NOW I HAVE HORNS."
Session 37 Before the rest of the party could firmly reject the idea based on past experiences, Sylvia agreed with a smirk, and they both disappeared. When Sylvia opened her eyes, she found herself in a quiet part of a meadow where he once made his deal with Lorwyn. He invited her to sit down and admire the view of the Feywilds. She sat down, amazed by its untamed beauty. After a few moments, she turned to him, and with a coy smile, she asked, "We're you really that desperate to get some alone time with me?"
Session 37 "Yeah, I appeared here, and Lorwyn came up to me, and we made a deal", Kerrigan explained.
Session 37 "I ask because I can't remember. Part of my deal involved unfinished business at Lost Haven. I made the deal to go back and finish that unfinished business I've lost. In return, I am Lorwyn Herald, and I do some really funny stuff - like, did you see the horse?! Its always angry and wants to eat Human and i can summon it!!" explained Korrigan excitedly.
Session 35 Soon after returning, the party set off for Whitespire. Aiden Knight decided it would be best to find Shoni Anofora, rather than risk needing help from Lorwyn again. He quickly discovered a tavern down the road where the bartender, a dwarf, was speaking simply while pouring drinks for various customers. When Aiden asked about Shoni, the bartender replied, “I’m no good at remembering. Do you have something to jog my memory?” Reluctantly, Aiden pushed a few extra coins across the counter, and the bartender began to speak more formally. He explained that he had heard of Shoni and that she was last known to be heading south. With another payment, he detailed that she was working in the Desert, beyond the Great Wall. Aiden thanked him for the information and returned to the party, who refused to believe him, citing the bartender's poor command of Common.
Session 34 Next thing he knew, he woke up in a lush forest filled with flowers and animals unknown to him, a rogue. He took a few steps before his keen senses noticed a lady walking past behind a tree. She gave him a coy smile and invited him over. Aiden Knight instantly recognized her as a Lorwyn; her features matched exactly how Kal The Korrigan † had described her.
Session 34 The vision ended just as he collapsed, the last thing he saw being the Lorwyn's coy smile.
Session 34 He woke up in a room with three doors and what appeared to be a grandfather clock. However, it was missing the cog, second and minute hands, and the pendulum. Suddenly, Lorwyn's voice boomed in his head, informing him that he needed to develop some mental fortitude and that she would only let him go once he retrieved all the missing parts from the clock. With nothing else to do, he walked through the first door.
Session 34 This time, when he returned, there was a fourth door. Quite accustomed to this, he walked through the door and found himself in the lush forest with Lorwyn once again. She was lounging on a chaise longue, looking up only when he approached her.
Session 34 Before they crossed the threshold, the Korrigan's body was suddenly possessed by Lorwyn. Turning to Aiden Knight, she lifted him by his throat before any of them could react and told him to keep his promise to become a better person. Scared out of his mind, he nodded frantically before she let him go.
Session 33 Kal The Korrigan †, who was nearly in tears at this point, said that they could go to Blackwall and open the shop there. Mordecai insisted that Halfbie didn't have Cancer, which only convinced them that they had "Death Disease". Mordecai was about to say something else, but Korrigan stepped in, saying that he had a way to make Halfbie feel better. They said they would be more than happy to have a distraction, and korrigan teleported both of them to the Feywild. Korrigan waited in the Temple of Lorwyn while Halfbie found themselves in front of the familiar wooden shake in The Shifting Forest. They tentatively approached and knocked on the door, and the beautiful Eladrin they once knew was now very old, she instantly recognised them and invited them in. Halfbie said that they said they would return before asking what their name was they now realise they never got it when they were last here. She laughed before introducing herself as Jessamine †.
Session 32 Mordecai looked to the ghost of Seifer Willow ‡ on their shoulder, sarcastically remarking how it was nice to put a face to the name finally. She shrugged before noting how weird it was as they were so used to seeing Mordecai but remaining unseen. Looking over to Halfbie and Chenris, they noticed that Halfbie was beginning to have a mental breakdown. As they looked at Chenris, but before they could do anything, Korrigan fell to the floor, shaking violently. Mordecai rushed over to help him, but after a few moments, the shaking stopped. Halfbie looked at Korrigan from across the room and realised that without Lorwyn's influence, there was probably nothing stopping his memories from resurfacing, that his body was dependent on the Feywilds and that being cut off was having bad side effects. As Korrigan lay in Mordecai's arms in a daze before suddenly snapping back to consciousness. he exclaimed that he needed a sword. Confused by their question why, Korrigan replied with anger none of The Party had ever seen before, "I need to kill the king, the king of Lost Haven".
Session 32 Taken back, Mordecai explained even if they had a sword, they wouldn't have given him one because of how strange they were acting, Drache seconded this. Korrigan realised this and backtracked a little, explaining he also needed to go there to destroy The Towers for Lorwyn, but more importantly, Chenis was here, and he jumped up to say 'Hi' to his old friend, but chenris didn't respond. With a warty glance at Chneris, Mordecai rushed to the still-panicking Halfbie and tried to help them calm down and introduce chenris. Explaining that they well may already know of them, but this is their old friend who died recently, and as much as they hated to admit it, they all really missed him. Halfbie took a long look at Chenris before stating "Y- y-y- eah, why does it feel like i know him, Mord? Why does he feel like a part of me, a part I cannot escape no matter where I run to?"
Session 30 Drache tried to calm him down and told him to start from the beginning and explain how their Misty Step works. After a few deep breaths, they explained that their version works slightly differently from the more common version. He functions by taking him through the Feywilds before appearing in the spot he wanted. Drache paused for a moment before suggesting that maybe their ability malfunctioned and sent Halfbie to the Feywild with korrigan but left them there. Korrigan filed with his bow for a moment before saying that could be the case as Halfbie would have no way out of the Feywild and so could be trapped. A moment passed for Korrigan's eyes widened in panic as he screamed, "OH MY GOD, HALFBIE IS IN THE FEYWILD!" before teleporting there himself. He landed in his usual spot: outside a golden temple dedicated to Lorwyn. He threw out his magic, searching for this friend and breathed a sigh of relief, and he sensed them moving to them slowly.
Session 30 Korrigan, happy that Halfbie was safe, let out a heavy sigh and simply stated that it was good that the rift didn't do too much damage to the Feywilds. They updated Halfbie as they had legitimately forgotten what was happening in the human and that they needed to get out of there. korrigan and drache figured that their best bet would be to just walk right out as the guards saw them walk in with Malin, so they probably wouldn't care if they walked out. they do just that, and the guards don't even bat an eye as they walk up the stairs and into the main library of The All-Father Temple. Korrigan found a nearby table, set a map on it, and said they should plan out their route for the foreseeable future. Korrigan says that he wants OFC since they need to sort out everything there and then end up near Lost Haven as Lorwyn is becoming impatient with him.
Session 30 After a deep breath, Korrigan says that in their party, Mordecai is possessed by a war criminal, Aidan is possessed by a God, another may share a body with a dead party member, and he is Lorwyn's toy. Weird or even bad things are bound to happen, but they're trying their best to make sure that the world is ok. Drache is still sad because, in his eyes, he isn't this paragon of good that everyone says he is. Like everyone, he has done bad things, sometimes for the greater good and sometimes for selfish reasons, making him feel like a fake and he is sick of pretending.
Session 29 Korrigan was excited that he could finally share some of his heritage with someone who had no experience with the Fey, practically dragging Drache to Lorwyn's room. Before entering, Korrigan thought that to give Drache a proper introduction to the Fey, he had to play a prank on the Dragonborn. He explained that a proper Fey greeting involved clapping three times, turning around, tapping their head, and saying "Oeurrr". Drache seemed sceptical at first, especially when he asked for confirmation; Korrigan then said the sequence in a different order. Nevertheless, he saw no issue in following the instructions, especially when he heard that the greeting would earn him great respect from the priest.
Session 29 Drache slowly calmed down, walking through a place that was truly beautiful beyond words. Korrigan had led him in silence for a few minutes before finally explaining that this specific part of the glad was considered holy and was he first encountered Lorwyn. Drache had no words. Korrigan continued walking forward, detailing how he came to Kal The Korrigan † and what he had given up to return to the world of the living. He apologises for taking things too far with him, Tangy and he were so excited about showing him their homelands that they forgot that a lot of their 'harmless' pranks weren't too harmless to others. He asked if Drache wanted to return, and the Dragonborn nodded weakly.
Session 29 A magenta mist began to envelop them as they were transported back to Lorwyn's room of worship. As they landed back in the room, a golden circle appeared below them, and they fell into another room.
Session 29 (Halfbie gave them a kind smile before responding, “Well, perhaps you would understand if you actually took the time to know me and… you know, talk to me?” Mordecai was struck into silence as they realised how little they had cared to learn about the individual causing them so much distress. The orb broke the silence by saying they were happy to wait; in fact, they could teleport Drache and Korrigan into the room as soon as they were available. The orb then appeared very confused, looking flustered for the first time as it revealed that it was unsure of where the two were. The orb explained that it had knowledge of all the things that Aeloria knew, yet had no idea where they were, which would have been impossible unless they were in a place beyond Aeloria's control. Mordecai suggested they go to Lorwyn’s room, but the orb revealed that this was still a location it could see. It might make sense if the two were taken to the Feywild. However, that was such a peculiar idea that the orb immediately dismissed it.  )
Session 27 In the morning, Korrigan approaches Halfbie (Mordecai secretly keeps an eye out to listen to their conversation); Korrigan notably refuses to break eye contact with Halfbie, intently staring at their purple eyes. He takes the time to ask them if they worship a god like he worships Lorwyn. Halfbie excitedly explains that they worship Aeloria, which shocks Korrigan and Mordecai. They explain that Aeloria is the one who has helped them out the most that they can remember, so it only seemed right that they worship them. The two ask for some examples, to which Halfbie explains that Aeloria helped them learn new spells and help them find a friend. However, when Mordecai asks who their friend is, Halfbie cannot remember, blinking blankly as they become confused. Mordecai tries to explain how Aeloria isn't all good as they offer information, but it will often come at a cost. They tell how Chenris was tricked into exchanging their soul for information.
Session 26 When weighing up their options, Mordecai says, that whatever they do he can stay with Aidan and cast Dispel Magic If and when needed. Thinking back, Korrigan realises that when he is in or near a tower, it becomes difficult to talk to Lorwyn. he summarises the perfect place for them to stay would be in the tower since Chronovorus would most likely be unable to reach Aidan, plus they could take the time to talk to Terathra. As they approach, discuss questions that they want to ask Terathra. The biggest one is "Are there any other ways to block out the Gods, even better if you could choose which Gods to block". Korrigan figures this would be a very important thing to find out before he falls the tower in [[Niaross †|en]].]] They also want to find out more about Uti † and the island of Itone Isles.
Session 26 Korrigan looks for the priest for Lorwyn and enters the corresponding portal. It takes him to a place that looks very similar to the Feywilds but isn't. He approaches waiting for the priest to speak first, the priest looks up and immediately says "you have no power over here herald" " He asks the priest if he was sent here directly from Lorwyn and confirms this, Korrigan offers to prey together.
Session 26 Finishing their prey, Korrigan asks the priest for his name, the priest introduces himself as Tangy. Korrigan admits that he is struggling since he doesn't understand why he was chosen to be a Herald for Lorwyn and assumes it's all a part of some grand joke he isn't in on. He explains this is one of the main reasons he joined Queen Titania's Druid circle, the circle of endless bloom, so he could become more than just a herald and apart of the fey court in his own right. The Priest advises to lean into the joke, life will become a lot easier that way. Korrigan mentions the man giggling outside and how he wanted to be apart of that joke. upon hearing this. the priest ushers him closer and whispers that that man was a bandit who had just murdered many people right before the party rocked up and they were lucky to get through so easily. Korrigan recounts some of the harmless pranks he's pulled on people. Korrigan asks if Tangy has fun ideas for the joke to play at the party and the priest just laughs and says to carry on with his path. On his way out, Korrigan mentions the Man-Eating Horse and apparently, the fey have been sending it all over the place to play pranks on people, although he won't reveal who. Korrigan asked if he could give suggestions as to where to send it next. He suggests
Session 21 While discussing Aidan's fear of the deity, Korrigan mentions Aidan's possession in Ehobel. Upon hearing this, the priest perks up and says he knowns all about that incident and therefore knows Aidan very well and applauds him for a job well done. Pissed off, Korrigan asks what he means by that. The priest elaborates and says that Aidan did what his god wanted him to do, which is something to congratulate him on. Korrigan turns on his heels and grabs Aidan to leave, as they are Aidan shouts "WHAT AM I?!". The priest isn't sure but if had to guess he would say "You're Chronovorus' - you belong to him". Aidan starts to cry at this revelation and the priest says "i'd be careful around Whitespire if i were you". This stops Korrigan in his tracks and asks him what does he mean. The priest elaborates that "Well, you caused one tower to fall, i'm sure he would like to see another fall". korri exclaims "SO WOULD LORWYN" and leaves just before the priest calls Lorwyn a feckless bastard. Being dragged out, Aidan's last view of the priest is distorted and his face is replaced by a big black smile of Chronovorus.
Session 20 When weighing up their options, Mordecai says, that whatever they do he can stay with Aidan and cast Dispel Magic If and when needed. Session 18 Korrigan, feeling a bit lost and defeated, says that the party needs to trust each other and and to do that we need everything on the table. He starts to explain his deal with Lorwyn. She brought him back to life so he could settle his business in Lost Haven and make sure the tower in there falls. The party is stunned into silence. Chenris without looking up replies "i'll take first watch"
Session 11 Korrigan, satisfied with finally knowing what is going on, takes Chenris and Mordecai to the Feywilds and guides them to what is known as the Seelie Court. A place priming with magical fey energy where all of the Arch Fey gather to discuss their plans. Its a large room and on the outskirts are seats for all the beneficiaries. Opposite the door, are 3 seats one presumable for Lorwyn, one on her right Korrigan as her herald and one her where Queen Titania - the head of the court is sat. She stands to announce that court is now in session. With that the excited hubbub subsides to give space for Queen Titania speak, She asks what they want - noting that the non-fey are only here as they are with Lorwyn's herald. Each word escaping her mouth as if it was a challenge to even cordial in the presence of someone who can challenge her authority. Korrigan starts to explain their sudden need for the court to convene but Queen Titania cuts him off as she already knows what he wants and he can't have it. Mordecai speak up and after a long back and forth, manages to convince her to consider their plea. Queen Titania doesn't care for the well being a human nation but admits it might be funny to allow them to make their plea to feywild and see who answers their call if they make a deal with her. Korrigan asks what sort of deal she would like and confesses he only wants one thing: Chaos and instability. In return for calling on the fey for support he must see for chaos than normal. Korrigan instantly agrees before the other two can question what she means by this. Queen Titania laughs as the deal has been made. She excited exclaims that the Tiefling's magic is now even more unstable and will happen more often, Mordecai's jaw drops as he starts to panic.
Session 10 Chenris casts his spell and says the word "truth" forcing the party member to not only clear any suspicions about his involvement with the ritual but also divulge his status as Lorwyn's one and only herald. Now acutely aware of the flaw in his plan, relents but vows to learn who the mastermind of this plot is. After so many revelations in such a short space of time time, the party travel the rest of the distance in silent contemplation as they try to figure out who the trait is within their ranks.
Session 05 The tome told of Aetherion, the Primordial Divinity, whose death had given birth to gods and mortals alike. Fragments of Aetherion ’s soul had formed the gods, while his body had fractured into countless beings, encasing themselves in shells that became the planets. Terathra, the being imprisoned within their world, was one such entity, its power harnessed by the Divine Pillars to ward off the gods and maintain balance. Korrigan’s hands trembled as he read that severing the magical link between Terathra and the pillars would free the creature. The revelation was staggering, intertwining with his pact with Lorwyn, the Fey Sovereign, who had tasked him with seeking this very knowledge. Returning the book to its place, Korrigan departed the library, his thoughts weighed down by the implications of what he had learned.
Session 03 As the group gets to Steelwick they hear a Familiar voice asking the party for any food. They turn to face the character and the person looks and sounds exactly like Kal but this person has antlers. He calls himself Korrigan and has amnesia. The group takes him in more out of curiosity (Chenris keep trying to securely study him). Mordecai then scare Korrigans into using his abilities to learn more about him and his abilities. Lorwyn 's name comes up a lot when talking about his powers, he even has Kal's Bow.
Session 03 Trying to figure and what the hell is going on with korrigan. They decide that they are next going to the library to read what they can on Lorwyn - it is revealed that she is a deity and might've had a hand in whatever is going on with Korrigan.
