Overview

An ornate gold crown was found in a ruined castle in the Itone Isles. It has a large red ruby in the centre that causes a small flame to burn above the wearer. it was possessed by the spirit of Seifer Willow ‡ before Mordecai Reverence touched it and became her new host.

Session 30 Korrigan states that the Everburning Crown sounds very similar to The Crown of the Lost but was unable to find a solid connection in the book. Leaving the temple, they have an amazing time and make it to Cliffhall before lunch. passing the town guards wearing orange armour could be signed with logos and insignias that they were too far away to make out truly.
Session 29 Mordecai comes clean and explains that they actually found Seifer Willow ‡, and she currently has processed his brain. Malin looks terrified and asks to know the full story and becomes increasingly terrified when they explain how they found The Crown of the Lost and then Firesoul Greatsword. Malin, now on the verge of panic, begged to know that the sword was safe and hidden away still. The Party deliver the troubling news that the sword was stolen by someone they suspect to be Ebis Daro. Malin broke out in a cold sweat and told them to follow him as he walked incredibly quickly for an old man. He took them out into the main library and into the back areas through a door labelled 'Authorised staff only'. Down a few corridors, they walked through a heavily guarded gate and down a steep flight of stairs. until they entered a large and dark room - illuminated only by a pristine white pillar.
Session 27 The voice explains that this isn't the case as Mordecai is now her vessel and The Crown of the Lost is now no more than a good-looking piece of jewellery, although apparently, it would be nice to see Mordecai wear the crown as they command their own Ash Spawn legion. Hearing all this from Mordecai, Halfbie uses Mage Hand to grab the crown and cast their spell on it. Exclaiming, "You only live once," and touching it. They learn that nothing is interesting about the crown apart from some magical residue left from precession magic. They smile and tell them the news as they hand them the crown. With the crown now understood, they descend the stairs and investigate the chanting. They continue down into the earth for ages, becoming very steep after a while. After several thousand steps, the chanting became incredibly loud as a large stone door confronted them. Remembering the last stone door to Iron Forge, Korrigan tells Drache to make sure he pulls it open and not push it. Drache quietly opens the door, a small crack to peer inside. Inside is a large room with many Red robes surrounding a sword in the centre.
