Angel Under The Well

Overview

It's true name is currently own known, but the 'Angel Under The Well' is a powerful herald of Somnora. this Herald was first encountered in Newhall (Session 07) and then later defeated in a climactic rematch in Oceanvale (Session 39).

Powers & Abilities

As a herald, they are incredibly powerful with access to the high-level evocation and summoning magic. In a fight it was handily able to beat the party at level 4 and was still a challenge for them when they were level 8. However, it seemed like during their fight it was either holding back or being held back my another force so it's full powers may not have been seen yet.

Outside of combat, it has a verity of powers that allow it to disrupt peoples sleep or enter their dreams to terrorise them. it also has the ability to mess with peoples memories as show in in Newhall and Oceanvale where many of the residence were having issues with remembering where they were and some even struggling remember who they were as people, as shown with Deputy Bridges.

History & Mentions

§ Interactions
Session 40 The Party stood in silence over the body of the Angel Under The Well. The room was huge, with people and bodies strewn about the floor and hanging from the ceiling by their legs. The silence broke as Korrigan cried out in pain from battle wounds. Mordecai tried to heal the man but had little magic to spare. Halfbie, still filled with magical vigour, stepped in and released a wave of healing energy over Korrigan.
Session 39 A while later, as they approached Oceanvale, Korrigan suddenly remembered a quest request they had there. Upon rereading the quest details, the situation sounded very similar to the 'Angel Under The Well' they had encountered in Newhall. If that were the case, it would be wise to rest outside the city to avoid being enchanted by the Herald in their sleep.
Session 39 Once everyone was ready, they slowly walked down the tunnels, guided by halfbie's senses. They soon approached a large cave opening. And in the middle, surrounded by corpses, sense and blood, was the Angel Under The Well.
Session 39 They charge one enough, and after a long and difficult fight, The "Fatebreakers finally defeat "the Angel Under The Well. As "its body began to fade away, it snarled its final words, "You will never truly kill me, I will be back, and you will die a painful death."
Session 07 It was terrifyingly fast and strong, moving through the battle field with relative easy and it landed heavy blows of magic and steel. The party fought valiantly, almost defeating the Angel Under The Well of an unknown god to them. They however did not survive, with Aidan being the last one standing due to rogues being known for their ability to evade damage. Once all of the party went down a voice echoed in their and the herald's head that said "No this is not where their story ends" and healed them the party and the herald back to full health. The herald spoke to the party in the common tongue, disgusted at having to use such a vile language and said that they best leave not interfere with its plans or suffer the consequences
